US cheap recycling plastics attract Chinese investment

According to the US "Wall Street Journal" reported on October 29, China has implemented stricter standards for the purity of imported waste this year, which has led to a slowdown in US exports of Chinese old cardboard, newspapers and discarded plastics. Chinese packaging companies and plastics manufacturers have also seen a shortage of raw materials, and some of them have begun to acquire or open factories in the United States to obtain waste materials that are considered to be environmentally unfriendly and banned from imports.

According to reports, there are a large number of cheap and recyclable materials in the United States. In recent months, due to the sharp slowdown in China's waste exports, the US waste recycling industry is nearing collapse, and Chinese companies have boosted the industry. Most of the investors are subsidiaries of Chinese plastics and paper companies, or companies that supply large Chinese customers. These companies have experience in dealing with the logistics and regulatory challenges facing China's exports.
