The well-known dismantling website iFixit brought us iPhone XR disassembly. They think that although the appearance of iPhone XR has changed a lot, in fact it is iPhone 9 'camouflage', yes, it is iPhone 9. There are not many gossips. Say, let's look at the disassembly directly. Apple's new iPhone XR this year has a lot of primary colors to choose from, iFixit prefers blue and black, so take them to work. On the front of the iPhone XR, a whole piece of glass looks very complete. Still the old rules, first look at the inside of the phone through X-ray, still so fine. In order to better detect the difference, we put the iPhone XR and iPhone XS together. Obviously, the iPhone XR does not have that antenna belt, and the speaker symmetry is better. XR inherits many XS features, but it does not inherit Gigabit. LTE. Light up the screen, it is easy to see that the XR's border is a bit large. If you look closer, you can also find the pixel points of the screen. The iPhone XR inherits many of the features of the XS, but it has only one camera - a wide-angle lens. Below we will start disassembling. Similar to the iPhone XS, we need to start with the screws on both sides of the charging interface. Then separate the screen from the body. The feeling of disassembling the iPhone XR is similar to the feeling of disassembling the XS. It's easy to take down the screen. This way of combining the screen with the body, Apple has been used since the iPhone 5, and gradually improved to date. We see the inside of the XR, more like a hybrid between the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X. We saw a rectangular battery and a rectangular logic board. The question is: How many layers does this logic board have? Starting to disassemble the logic board, no doubt, we have encountered a lot of screws. Let's take a look at this is a modular SIM card slot, this is the first time for the iPhone. It not only improves the speed of replacing the SIM card slot, but also reduces the cost of replacing the logic board, which is a win-win situation. The slender, non-curved single-layer logic board is finally down. Give the logic board a close-up, the most dazzling must be the red A12 bionic chip. Remove the logo and look at the motherboard again. Turning over the logic board, we found more chips. This includes Toshiba's memory chips, Intel's baseband, Apple's power management IC, Texas Instruments' battery charging IC, and more. Continue to disassemble the logic board. The middle is the XR motherboard + SIM card reader, a bit like the unfolded iPhone X motherboard (right). The left side is the iPhone 8 Plus, which looks the largest. Through the close-up of the X-ray, we can see that this 'simplified' iPhone logic board is still very complicated. More components are hidden below, such as the True Depth camera system. After getting the logic board, we successfully removed the famous Taptic Engine vibration module. Although the iPhone XR does not support 3D Touch, it can replace some functions of 3D Touch by long press. Next up is the rectangular battery. We are very happy to be able to encounter four complete adhesive tabs that are easy to get down. The battery went smoothly, 11.16Wh. From left to right: iPhone 8 (6.96 Wh), iPhone XR (11.16Wh), iPhone 8 Plus (10.28 Wh) and iPhone XS (10.13 Wh). Although it looks like the XR battery is smaller than the iPhone 8 Plus, it actually The XR is thicker, 'also more juice'. The battery distribution structure under X-ray, from left to right are iPhone X, XR (low density aluminum frame) and XS Max! This is a rear single camera - the same wide-angle module as the XS and XS Max. We put the camera together with the TrueDepth system that supports Face ID - they are almost the same as what we saw on the iPhone X for the first time, with almost no change. Oh, yes, don't forget that there is a speaker below - it's easy to remove. Next, we turned our attention to the much-watched Retina display. The iPhone XR's LCD is 0.3 inches larger than the XS AMOLED screen, but it is also thicker and heavier – this is limited by the material. After all, it is the LCD screen. Of course, the misplaced Lightning excuse is also one of the 'culprits'. Finally, we removed the wireless charging coil for further understanding. Copper has lower resistance (compared to FPC in X), which means faster charging speed and less heat. Finally, I came to Zhang Quanjiafu. The iPhone XR's internal design is always reminiscent of the iPhone 8 (rectangular battery and single-layer motherboard), but there are also different places, such as smaller logic boards and 3D lenses, and modular SIM card slots.
