Secondly, photovoltaic is the only stellar energy source, which is also the energy that can be used in interstellar travel. Other forms of energy are not used in space colonization or used soon.
Finally, you can't think of photovoltaics as a device, but think of it as a plant. The conversion rate of photovoltaic cells (2017) is about 40 times that of plants. The solar conversion rate of plants is 0.5% to 1%, and then plants are eaten by people. The ratio of conversion to labor is 0.02% to 0.03%, that is, the original solar energy conversion rate should be between 0.03 and 0.01%. The conversion rate of solar modules is about 17%, and then after transmission and motor release, the efficiency is About 20%, so the labor conversion rate of solar energy is about 3.4%, which is 700-1000 times that of plants. The energy recovery period refers to the energy consumed by a photovoltaic system over its life cycle divided by the annual average energy output of the system, in units of years. That is, the photovoltaic system can recover the energy consumed during its life cycle within a few years.
Obviously, the shorter the payback period, the better. The energy recovery period is one of the indicators for judging renewable energy.
At present, the energy recovery period of photovoltaic power generation system is about 1.3 years. The system life is at least 25 years. Is this a scam?

3, the energy recovery period of photovoltaic power station
Taking Beijing as an example. The average annual total radiation of Beijing is 1371 kWh/m2; a 1MWp photovoltaic power station adopts a distributed photovoltaic project with a fixed inclination of 36°. The annual peak hours are 1628h, considering the system efficiency of 80%. , then: The first year of power generation = 1000kW × 1302.4h × 80% = 1.32 million kWh.
Taking into account 10% attenuation in 10 years, 20% attenuation in 25 years, the average annual power generation in 25 years is about 1.157 million kWh.
The average annual power generation of 1MWp PV modules is 1.157 million kWh, and the single-watt power generation is 1.157kWh. The energy recovery period of PV power plants is: 1.5kWh ÷ 1.157 kWh/year = 1.3 years.
