Banned EU countries from using disposable plastic tableware since 2021.

The European Parliament reported that the European Parliament's Environmental Protection Committee voted to support the EU's ban on the use of some disposable plastic products, including disposable plastic tableware, from 2021.

The press release stated: 'Disposable plastics that constitute more than 70% of marine waste will be banned by plans supported by the Environmental Protection Committee. ' It is mentioned that, according to the ban, it is proposed to ban plastic tableware from entering the EU market from 2021.

The ban stipulates that other non-replacement plastic products used in EU countries should be reduced by 2025, including disposable lunch boxes containing hamburgers, desserts or ice cream.

Tobacco waste should also be reduced.

The report covering these proposals will be put to the vote at the European Parliament General Assembly to be held from October 22nd to 25th.
