In 2012, Hungary took the lead in taxing the use of plastic bags in the EU countries, resulting in a significant reduction in the use of plastic bags.
According to the report, in Hungary, the average person used 160 to 170 plastic bags per person in 2012, and this year, the number of plastic bags used by Hungarians is 80.
