'Xiangyanghong 18 Ships' | A microplastic survey will be launched in the offshore area of eastern China

The Ocean's 'Xiangyanghong 18 Ship' will depart from Xiamen Dongdu Wharf on October 7, 2018, opening the 2018 autumn voyage of China's offshore comprehensive open voyage, conducting multidisciplinary investigations on hydrology, geology, chemistry, biology and remote sensing. Comprehensive research work. This voyage will also investigate new pollutants such as micro-plastics.

This voyage is expected to take 35 days and has a range of more than 4,200 nautical miles. This is also the first multi-disciplinary, multi-technical quasi-synchronous observation of a multi-disciplinary approach to the 'priming + water + atmosphere + remote sensing' offshore in eastern China. And research is rare in China.

The comprehensive observation and systematic research of China's offshore waters will provide valuable first-hand information for further exploration of the status quo and environmental evolution of China's offshore natural resources, and in-depth research on the interaction between sea, land and sea and related hot issues in the marine environment.
