Near the double eleven, the express delivery industry is about to enter the peak season, the business volume will increase rapidly. Many express companies said that in order to ensure smooth operation during the peak period and maintain service quality and customer satisfaction, the cost adjustment mechanism has been launched.
Recently, two private express delivery giants, Zhongtong and Yunda, issued notices, saying that they will increase the express mail costs in some areas. The reporter learned from Yuantong Express that in order to guarantee the quality of service and end delivery, and consider the impact of rising costs and environmental factors, Yuantong will increase the delivery fee for express delivery to Shanghai in various outlets across the country, with an increase of 0.5 yuan.
On September 21, Zhongtong Express official website announced that it will start the express fee adjustment mechanism from October 1 this year to adjust the express delivery fee from the whole country to Shanghai.
Yunda also issued a notice to the outlets to adjust the express delivery fee to the Shanghai area, and raised the express delivery fee of each outlet to the Shanghai area by 0.5 yuan/ticket.
However, it should be pointed out that the two courier companies raised the 'delivery fee', that is, the fee that the sending outlets should pay to the dispatched outlets, not the fees paid by the consumers for sending the courier, and whether the price increases. The leading power is in the hands of the outlets. At the same time, the customer service staff of Zhongtong and Yunda official website said that the courier fee did not increase.
Changjiang Securities pointed out that with the continuous expansion of the size of the Double Eleventh E-Commerce Festival, the express handling volume of the express delivery industry fluctuated during the peak season. In 2017, the highest daily average processing capacity of the industry reached 330 million pieces, which is the average daily processing volume. Therefore, in order to ensure the peak of online shopping, the express network can still operate normally, express delivery companies need to reserve a large number of temporary operators in advance, renting venues and vehicles.
As of press time, other express delivery companies, including SF Express and Shentong, told the media that there is no price increase plan.
