Beijing time on the 21st, the United States, California passed a bill that will ban California restaurants to provide customers with disposable plastic straws, the bill will take effect on January 1, 2019.

The enactment of this decree also prompted California to become the first state in the United States to ban restaurants from actively providing plastic straws.
However, the California ban does not apply to fast food restaurants or convenience stores. Full-service restaurants can still provide paper or metal straws to customers. This law aims to reduce plastic pollution.
