Recently, the Russian Xibul company in Voronezh factory increased the production of 50,000 tons of styrene copolymer thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) per year.
Through the expansion, the Voronezh plant can produce approximately 85,000 tons of TPE per year and will add new levels of compounds and binders. These products for the roof and road construction end markets will enable Sibul to better meet the growing demand for TPE in the market. .
'With the investment in new capacity, Sibul will be able to fully meet future domestic demand,' said Pavel Lyakhovich, general manager of Sibul. 'The most important thing is that we will continue to enter the European TPE market. The new level will enhance our Export potential. '
At present, Xibul does not disclose the specific amount of the investment, nor does it give a timetable for the TPE expansion project. Previously, the company invested about 70 million US dollars to expand production capacity of similar scale.
China Rubber Network learned that Sibul continued to promote the decommissioning of aging equipment and facilities while expanding the production of TPE at the Voronezh plant. Recently, it stopped the production of latex and reduced the number of rubber production lines. Sibul said that the space was freed. Used to install new equipment and build 'advanced environmentally friendly production'.
It is reported that Sibul is Russia's largest natural gas processing and petrochemical products company. It currently has three synthetic rubber plants producing general-purpose, special synthetic rubber and thermoplastic elastomers. The synthetic rubber production capacity is 572,000 tons/year.
