On September 10th, the research and development and industrialization project of styrenic thermoplastic elastomer and polycaprolactone medical polymer raw materials was held in Baling Petrochemical. The project belongs to the national key research and development of biomedical materials research and development and tissue organ replacement. The project was jointly undertaken by Baling Petrochemical, Shandong Weigao Group, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qingdao Institute of Energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing University of Technology, Sichuan University. According to reports, at present, SEBS products for infusion bag film have been carried out. Industrial trials are being promoted for trial use; new products such as thermoplastics for scalp needle tubing are being developed.
In May of this year, Weigao Group used SEBS raw materials produced by Baling Petrochemical to produce infusion pipes, which successfully replaced imported products.
