In recent years, the ethylene industry is still in a period of rapid development. In 2017, the global ethylene production capacity reached 170 million tons. As the world's second largest ethylene producer, China's ethylene production and yield have also increased. The 20th National Ethylene Year According to the survey report, China's ethylene output in 2017 was 18.463 million tons, an increase of 430,000 tons over 2016, an increase of 2.38%; the average ethylene yield in 2017 was 32.9%, an increase of 1.3 percentage points over 2016.
In the next few years, with the completion of large-scale new ethylene plants in China, and the momentum of olefin production capacity in coal chemical pipelines, the ethylene production capacity will be released. For the in-service ethylene plant, the challenge is unprecedented. How to improve the operation level of the plant, Enhancing device competitiveness and market risk resilience are important topics for refining and chemical companies to study in depth.
