British Composites has compiled a new report on how best to treat or recycle waste fiber reinforced polymer materials.
British composites company Scott Bader and Renuables have co-authored a new report detailing how best to dispose of or recycle waste fiber reinforced composites (FRP) in the UK.
The purpose of the report is to guide R&D spending and business investment to accelerate the implementation of the most environmentally and economically sustainable solutions. In this study, we will focus on thermoset glass fiber reinforced composites (GFRP), and secondly, the cost of recycling carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRP) by pyrolysis recycling is extremely expensive. So there are many ways to recycle them in this study.
'Composites play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing dependence on fossil fuels,' said Scott Bader CEO Jean-Claude Pierre, 'However, Only when we find an optimal recycling solution can composites be truly sustainable. '
