On September 6, China Power Construction and Norwegian NBT officially signed the EPC contract for the 250 MW wind power project in Ukraine. The project was invested by Norwegian NBT Company and contracted by China Power Construction EPC. The project has an installed capacity of 250 MW and uses 64 3.9 MW wind turbines, which are applicable to EU standards. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.
At the signing ceremony, Ukrainian President Poroshenko said that with the implementation of the project, many new employment opportunities will be created for Ukraine, and the completion of this power project will also meet more than one-third of the electricity demand in the Kherson area. Greatly improve the local electricity consumption, and promote regional economic development.
This country has praised China-Ukraine cooperation.
