Trelleborg's roller and belt business has introduced two upgraded polyurethane rollers for paper towel processing.
One of these products, Rollin Press Plast 4, contains a new polyurethane overlay that is specifically designed to combine with the rollers during paper processing. It enhances mechanical stress and wear resistance and extends service life. Hardness is 90-98 Shore A (Shore A).
Sales and business development manager Guillaume Bordais said: 'It combines several features that increase productivity. For example, antistatic properties prevent residue on the rollers and make cleaning easier.'
The second upgraded version, Press Plast 4D, combines Shore D (Shore Hardness D) and Shore A (Shore A). Bordais says the inner layer of 90 Shore A has a rubber overlay. Flexible, able to adapt to different settings of the laminate, this setting varies depending on the configuration of the final product.'
He added: 'The outer layer of hardness 65 Shore D allows for perfect bonding between layers, regardless of the number of layers. Applying high pressure to narrow indentations prevents repeated embossing of the underlying layer.
