According to the DataScope report of the MRC, the imports of Belarusian polyethylene fell by 5% year-on-year in the first half of this year.
It is understood that in the first half of this year, the import volume of Belarusian PE was 58,800 tons, compared with 61,900 tons in the same period of last year. The demand for high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene (LDPE) increased year by year, while linear low density polyethylene Demand for (LLDPE) has fallen sharply year-on-year. The National Bureau of Statistics of Belarus stated that in June, Belarusian PE imports fell from 9,600 tons in May to 9,100 tons, as domestic companies reduced HDPE purchases.
In June, Belarus's LDPE imports decreased from 3,900 tons in May to 3,700 tons. In the first half of this year, Belarus's LDPE imports were about 18,700 tons, compared with 18,400 tons in the same period last year.
