On August 22nd, the French Ministry of Energy announced that China Guangdong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corporation, won the bid for the French Blue Berry ground solar power station project. The success of the project also made CGNPC the only Chinese company to win the bid for large-scale ground solar power station in France.

The BlueBerry project is located in Châteauroux, central France, with a design scale of 30MW and covers an area of 35 hectares. The Blueberry project is the first renewable energy greenfield development project of CGNPC overseas, developed entirely by CGN Europe Energy Company, and the entire development. The process lasted two years and received a building permit 10 months ahead of other French companies.
It is reported that the French government vigorously promotes the energy transformation strategy. There will be 30GW of solar energy development plan in the next 20 years. The winning bid of the Blueberry project will further enhance the image of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Clean Energy Enterprise, which will help China Guangdong Nuclear Power Europe Energy Company to gradually expand the development of French solar energy projects.
