The reporter learned from Jilin University that the Lin Haibo team of the College of Chemistry of Jilin University is the first in the world to prepare high-performance battery-grade carbon materials from rice husks, and use this material to develop cost-effective lead-carbon batteries, which have reached the international advanced level. Recently, the scientific research results have built a 100-ton supercapacitor carbon and a kiloton battery carbon production line.
Lead-acid batteries are one of the most widely used batteries. In 2005, scientists combined lead-acid batteries with supercapacitors to invent super-cells (lead-carbon batteries), which have significantly improved performance compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. Carbon battery is called a new generation of lead-acid battery, which is a research hotspot in the field of international lead-acid batteries.
After more than 10 years of hard work, the team has overcome the key technologies of biomass green rice-shell capacitor carbon green preparation, rice-shell battery carbon additive and lead carbon battery anode to develop a cost-effective lead-carbon battery. Compared with ordinary lead acid Battery, lead carbon battery cycle life is increased by 6 times, charging speed is increased by 8 times, discharge power is increased by 3 times, and has the advantage of low cost.
The achievement achieved a complete industrial chain of rice-shell battery carbon materials, lead carbon batteries and product applications, mainly used in automotive start-stop power supply, automotive hybrid power and energy storage.
