In the first half of 2018 alone, the production and sales volume of new energy vehicles reached 413,000 and 412,000 respectively, an increase of 94.9% and 111.6% over the same period of the previous year. The official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that China will officially implement the Interim Provisions on the Management of Traceability of Recycling and Utilization of New Energy Vehicles for Power Battery from August 1.
The "Regulations" pointed out that China will establish a comprehensive management platform for the national monitoring and power battery recycling and traceability of new energy vehicles, and collect information on the production, sales, use, scrapping, recycling and utilization of power batteries. The main body fulfills the responsibility of recycling and implementation monitoring.
It is reported that in January this year, China Railway Tower Corporation and Chongqing Changan, BYD, Yinlong New Energy and other 16 companies held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation of new energy vehicle power battery recycling.
