On the morning of August 16, the Great Wall Motor Rizhao Vehicle and R&D Center project was signed in Jinan. The project will build a vehicle production base in Rizhao Economic and Technological Development Zone and build a R&D center in Shanhaitian Tourism Resort.
According to the agreement, the vehicle production base will focus on stamping, welding, painting, final assembly of four major process plants, R&D center projects and production bases simultaneously planning and construction, responsible for the product development and technical breakthrough tasks of the high-end brand of Great Wall Motor, design and development , trial production, quality control, collaborative development, technology pre-research, will be built into a world-class vehicle R & D and design center, modeling center, artificial intelligence laboratory, new energy fuel cell research and development center, powertrain laboratory.
The project will mainly produce the high-end brand of Great Wall Motor, WEY. WEY brand positioning high-end luxury, has launched the traditional fuel vehicle VV5, VV6, VV7, plug-in hybrid model P8.
Great Wall Motor and Rizhao City will give full play to the project's mechanism advantages and resource advantages, drive more supporting enterprises to gather, aim at the high-end market to build a new energy vehicle industry chain, and make new and greater contributions to Shandong's economic development.
