On August 14, the National Energy Administration announced that the energy supply situation in July showed overall stability, and power production continued to grow rapidly. Among them, solar power generation increased by 10.9% year-on-year, down 10.2 percentage points from the previous month.
In July, the national average temperature was 1°C higher than normal, and there were many extreme high-temperature weather in Gansu, Hubei, Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong and other places. Due to the strong demand for industrial electricity and sustained high temperature, the power generation increased rapidly, and the power generation in July was 6400.2. Billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%; daily average power generation of 20.65 billion kWh, an increase of 2.15 billion kWh from the previous month, a record high. From January to July, power generation increased by 7.8%, 1.0 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
Among them, the growth rate of thermal power has declined. In July, thermal power increased by 4.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 2.0 percentage points from the previous month.
The growth rate of hydropower has accelerated significantly. In July, the national average precipitation was 133.8 mm, 18.9% more than the same period of last year. The increase in water supply increased by 6.0% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 2.3 percentage points higher than that of the previous month.
New energy power generation has varied. In July, wind power growth accelerated, and nuclear power and solar power generation slowed down. Among them, due to better wind conditions in major wind power regions, wind power growth rate increased by 13.3 percentage points from the previous month, up 24.7% year-on-year. Nuclear power due to the maintenance of the unit during the same period last month, the growth rate is higher, this month fell 5.1 percentage points, an increase of 14.2%; solar power generation increased by 10.9%, down 10.2 percentage points from the previous month.
