Recently, Kellogg Brown Road, a leading global provider of cross-asset projects and lifecycle professional services, has signed a licensing project and supply of proprietary equipment with China's Pingmei Shenma Group (PMSM). Contract to build two new multi-carbon materials, the project will be carried out using PCMAX technology in Kaifeng and Pingdingshan, Henan, China.
The current production of the two plants is 100,000 tons per year. According to the terms of the contract, KBR's proprietary phosgene-based polycarbonate technology PCMAX will be used in both plants. PMSM plans to pass KBR's proprietary technology to The total production capacity is expanded to 800,000 tons per year, which will produce a large number of high quality polycarbonate products while attracting a very low level of capital investment.
KBR offers licensed design and polycarbonate synthesis compounding plants worldwide, as well as phenolic technologies including phenol/acetone and bisphenol (BPA). KBR's integrated phenolic resin offers significant advantages in raw materials, OPEX and maintenance costs. Therefore, KBR uses PCMAX technology to build two new polycarbonate plants in China.
