LANXESS' high-performance materials business unit launched a series of high-end material solutions at Chinaplas in 2018, including a drone propeller made of short glass fiber reinforced Durethan (nylon 6). Its balanced material properties, injection molded parts are lighter, and have good strength and rigidity. This material is resistant to UV aging and is therefore suitable for outdoor use.
The UAV propeller made from LANXESS plastic has an attractive appearance and long service life. In addition to the wing and propeller, high-performance plastic can also be used for unmanned fuselage and landing gear.
The material helps to reduce the weight of the aircraft, allowing longer flight times while reducing vibration and noise.
