Intel will upgrade existing chips to compete for AMD7 nano

According to Reuters, the head of the Intel data center said on Monday that the company plans to upgrade existing chips and combine them with a new storage technology to cope with competition from other companies such as AMD.

Analysts expect AMD to launch a 7-nanometer chip next year, which will help the company grab Intel's market share. Intel's current chip technology is based on 14nm, slower than AMD. Intel's 10nm PC chip will not be until the end of next year. Launched, its 10 nanometer server chip will be pushed back one year. Time has lagged behind AMD.

Therefore, Intel Data Center Director Navin Senoy said that Intel believes that if the company focuses on improving existing chips, its earnings growth may exceed the overall market growth.
