According to foreign media reports, some companies have developed some single-seat electric cars. Their small size makes them ideal for walking in crowded urban environments. But what happens when you want to carry a second passenger? ? The electric car made by the German iEV can make the body longer.
In the currently running prototype form, the iEV X is only 78 cm wide (30.7 inches) and 160 cm long (63 inches) in single passenger mode. When carrying other passengers, the car can be extended to 190 cm (74.8 inches). The second seat allowed to be folded is made behind the driver. If they want to carry some extra cargo, the car can be further extended to 220 cm (86.6 inches). The side of the vehicle remains open while stretching.
The 115kg basic model is powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery pack and can be charged for up to 60km in 3 hours. A 40-watt rooftop solar panel will charge the battery when the car is parked. The iEV X has a top speed of 45 km/h. The 145 kg iEV X + model will be powered by a 72V lithium-ion battery pack with a cruising range of 120 kilometers and a 60-watt solar panel with a top speed of 60 km/h. Optional configuration also includes an automatic robot charging system. , even the pedal system that helps improve battery life.
Additional features for both models should include an electric retractable mirror, a wide-angle rearview camera, a 7-inch touchscreen display, a full LED lighting system, and an aluminum body panel and steel chassis.
iEV X has now launched a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter. The iEV X basic model has an early bird price of 1,850 euros and the iEV X + model requires 7,850 euros.
