From June 2014 to October 2015, Volvo Cars signed a distributor agreement with three distributors of Dongan Group, namely Anyang Dongan Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd. (Anyang Dong'an Store) and Xinxiang Dong'an Woda Auto. Sales Service Co., Ltd. (Xinxiang Dong'an Store) and Zhengzhou Dongwo Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. (Zhengzhou Dong'an Store).
In September 2016, Zhengzhou Dongwo proposed to Volvo Car that the land of the 4S shop has been included in the scope of government demolition and needs to be relocated. Volvo Cars did not agree to the relocation plan after considering the funds of the 4S shop after the site inspection. Later, due to the poor sales performance of the three dealers of Dongan Group, a formal communication warning letter was issued to Dongan Group, requesting that it improve its performance within the three-month rectification period.
At the end of the three-month rectification period, the three distributors of the Dongan Group jointly sent a letter to Volvo Cars, requesting to withdraw from the dealer network.
