For compounding companies, a new software, Burgsmüller ScrewCon, ensures fast, economical and quality compounding, especially in applications with frequent material changes and low yields.
The software can be expertly designed for the custom configuration of the 'screw and barrel housing' required for any application, using a real-scale visualization.
The software is not designed for specific extruder brands, but can be configured for a variety of different twin-screw extruders.
In addition to providing in-depth process engineering expertise and unit conveying, meshing, mixing or retention of threaded components, Burgsmüller also offers advice on the best material selection for threaded components and housings with the aim of increasing service life and productivity.
As a result, the blender can integrate the perfect screw configuration provided by the Burgsmüller ScrewCon software into the production documentation and use it for the job planning.
The current database has approximately 3,000 screw and barrel housing components available for different brands, types and sizes of twin-screw extruders.
This allows custom configurations to be tailored to specific models and applications. If the required components are not available, Burgsmüller can easily add them using the basic data in the hands of the machine owners.
Burgsmüller is not limited to the standard product portfolio of extruder manufacturers, but also provides the most cost-effective screw configuration for compounding companies by integrating special components such as MultiProcess components, meshing discs or other mixing components.
