As a member of the Silicon based component Super Alliance, Trina Solar will provide a 258MW mono perc double Glass module to the Vietnam private PV project.
It is understood that the project is Vietnam's first hybrid wind and solar power farm project. The plant has been invested by Vietnamese investment company Trung Nam Group. The construction plan was completed on June 30, 2019.
The total investment of the plant is about USD 220 million and covers an area of 264 hectares. "We are honored to work with Trung Nam to develop an integrated renewable energy generation project that sets a new benchmark for Vietnam and marks the promise of Trina Solar to emerging markets," said Trina Solar vice president and head of global sales and marketing. In addition to a deep understanding of the Vietnamese market, we have also established 1GW solar cell production facilities in the country, and several new projects are under development.

In 2017, Trina Solar's global shipments exceeded 9GW, of which more than 60% per cent of the PV manufacturers were delivered to areas outside China's domestic market. While China's domestic demand for residential and utility-scale terrestrial solar photovoltaic devices has fallen as a result of the government's new PV market policy on May 31, 2018, Trina Energy said in a release that it was strengthening its ability to expand overseas markets.
