Keyi: Expanding polyurethane production capacity in the US

Keyi broke ground at the West Deptford plant expansion project in New Jersey, USA, which produces specialty chemicals for the polyurethane market.

The expansion is to expand the production capacity of the company's low free polyurethane prepolymer. It is expected that the expansion will be completed in the first quarter of 2020, and new production and packaging lines will be added.

The company's new production line is designed to meet customers' demand for polyurethane products and will increase production capacity by 2.5 times. The nearby Paulsboro plant will continue to operate. The location is due to the existing polyester polyol production available at the plant. Synergies, expansion will include technologies such as low free MDI and PPDI.

The company also said that the United States is a 'strategic market for growth,' and the investment is designed to help it expand its customer base in North America and beyond.
