Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA, August 3, 2018: - Teknor Apex Appoints Sachin Sakhalkar as Vice President of TPE.
Mr. Sakhalkar will be responsible for the company's global TPE business, including compounds supplied under the Ellear® (electrical and electronic applications), Medalist® (medical equipment), Monprene® (consumer and industrial products) and Sarlink® (traffic) brands. Teknor Apex produces thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) in eight locations in the US, Belgium, Germany and Singapore.

Mr. Sakhalkar joined Teknor Apex in 2005 as a new business development manager for the TPE business unit. In 2011, he was promoted to director of strategic marketing and new business development. In 2015, he served as business manager for the TPE business in the Americas. Before joining Teknor Apex He has been a strategic marketing and innovation manager for 7 years at Basell Polyolefins (now LyondellBasell Industries).
Sachin Sakhalkar holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, an MBA in Business Administration from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Mumbai Institute of Chemical Technology.
