Complete the last piece of IoT puzzle | Arm announces acquisition of data management company Treasure Data

According to foreign media reports, local time on August 2, semiconductor company Arm announced the company's acquisition of Treasure Data news. It is reported that this is a data management company for large enterprise customers. Although the two companies have not announced the transaction price, but according to Bloomberg’s previous report learned that the transaction price was $600 million.

Considering Treasure Data's expertise in processing large volumes of data generated by systems and data from CRM, e-commerce systems and other third-party services, Arm's deal will strengthen its IoT business capabilities.

Prior to this, Arm recently acquired Stream. Arm, which will refer to the acquisition of Treasure Data as the last piece of its IoT-enhanced puzzle. The final product of the puzzle in Arm will be the Arm Pelion IoT platform, which will put Stream, Treasure Data and the existing Arm Mbed Cloud are integrated into a single solution for connecting and managing IoT devices and their data generation.

In addition, Arm also said that Treasure Dat will continue to serve new and existing customers.
