Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the introduction of a new AEC-Q200 standard certified thick film power resistors---LTO 150, with a clip-type TO247 package, can be directly installed on the radiator.
This resistor is suitable for automotive applications, Vishay Sfernice LTO 150 provides 150W of industry-leading power dissipation at +45℃ shell temperatures and has a stronger pulse handling capability. Today's products are more than 70% of the power dissipation of TO247 packaging devices for competing goods. Reduced cooling components for resistors-saves circuit board space, simplifies layout, and lowers overall solution costs.
Compared with similar TO247 devices, LTO 150 has a 30% performance improvement in energy processing, further highlighting these advantages and allowing designers to use fewer resistors. LTO 150 operating temperature up to +175℃, the range of resistance ranges from 0.03ω to 1.3 MΩ and can be used as a pre-charging or discharge resistor for inverters, converters and car chargers in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). It can also be used to General industrial and military power conversion applications.
The equipment conforms to the RoHS standard, adopts the design with no inductance, the tolerance is low to ±1%, and the reliability test result is excellent (for example: 1000 times above temperature cycle).
