Given Treasure Data's expertise in processing the large volume of data generated by these systems (as well as data from CRM, e-commerce systems, and other third-party services), this move is expected to further strengthen ARM's position in the IoT space.
ARM just acquired Stream in June of this year, but for this acquisition, ARM calls Treasure Data the 'last piece' on its 'Internet of Things implementation puzzle'.
Since then, ARM's Pelion IoT platform has been completed, Stream, Treasure Data and the current Arm Mbed Cloud, which will provide a one-stop solution for IoT device and data connection management.
Finally, ARM stated that Treasure Data will continue to operate as before and provide services to new and existing customers.
It will continue to be an important part of the industry's IoT support, leveraging new, complex, advanced capabilities and device data in a comprehensive customer profile to personalize their products and improve the experience.
