According to the TPU report, Toshiba announced the launch of the MN07 series of mechanical hard drives with capacities of 12TB and 14TB, 3.5-inch discs.
This series of hard drives is mainly for NAS services (8+ bays), providing 1 million hours of trouble-free time, 7x24 hours of power-on operation, and an annual write capacity of 180TB.
In terms of specifications, the Toshiba MN07 is packaged in a 9-disc package, which is 55% more energy efficient than the traditional 10TB 7200 rpm drive.
Features include vibration compensation, Advanced Format (AF) 512e sectors,
Toshiba MB07 started sample shipment today, more information has not been announced.
