Samsung announced the development of a flexible OLED panel, which is said to have glass characteristics and flexibility. R&D has been certified by the US product safety testing agency. The panel is not made of glass, and the surface is covered with transparent plastic. It is more durable than the general panel. Samsung pointed out that the panel is lowered by 26 meters from the height of 1.2 meters, and falls from the height of 1.8 meters. According to the technology website The Verge, the panel will be used to make screens for mobile phone screens, game consoles, military devices, and tablets. However, Samsung has not announced when the panel will be launched.
