Liaoyang Petrochemical Company has undertaken two major scientific and technological projects for the development and industrial application of new polyethylene catalysts and the development of special materials for polyethylene pipes. Recently, it passed the acceptance of the expert group of the Science and Technology Management Department of CNPC.
Among them, the development and industrial application of the new polyethylene catalyst has been established since 2014. After more than four years of research and development, it has completed the research objectives, research contents and technical and economic evaluation indicators, and successfully developed JM series catalyst JM. -2 and JM-3 and correspondingly updated products of cross-linked polyethylene and chlorinated polyethylene special materials, to achieve localization and serialization of slurry catalyst polyolefin catalyst, and mastered the pilot production technology of two upgraded products.
The development of polyethylene pipe special materials has successfully developed a new ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product and realized industrial application, making Liaoyang Petrochemical the first continuous production enterprise of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in China. A total of 24 patents were filed, 5 papers were published, and more than 30 technical personnel in various fields were trained.
