Recently, market research firm Canalys released the second quarter shipment report of China's smartphones. The report shows that China's smartphone shipments reached more than 100 million units in the second quarter, up from 91 million units in the first quarter.
Among them, Huawei's market share in China has reached 27%, which is the largest share of Chinese smartphone manufacturers since 2011. Compared with the 21% market share in the second quarter of 2017, the market share has increased significantly.
The second and third place are OPPO and vivo, of which OPPO's share in the second quarter increased slightly compared with the second quarter of 2017, reaching 21%, while the growth of vivo increased by 30%. It is related to OPPO. The gap between the two is shrinking.
Ranked fourth, the fifth place is Xiaomi and Apple, of which Xiaomi has a market share of 14% in China in the second quarter. Overall, the top five mobile phone manufacturers accounted for 90% of shipments, a year ago was 73 %, the opportunity left to other mobile phone manufacturers is getting smaller and smaller.
Canalys analysts said that Huawei's brand glory accounted for 55% of Huawei's shipments in the second quarter of 2018, up from 33% a year ago. Glory has successfully entered the high-end market of more than $500 with its latest flagship model. At the same time, it continues to compete with rivals such as Xiaomi in the middle and low-end areas to compete for market share.
