Spend money to buy clean! Ford is determined to spend $300 million in huge capital | One-time solution to the problem of Takata airbag legacy

On Monday, court documents submitted by the Federal Court of Miami showed that Ford Motor agreed to use the $299.1 million economic compensation plan to solve more than 6 million vehicles using Takada airbags at one time.

The settlement agreement covers compensation for economic losses with several consumers, all related to car airbags, including inaccurate vehicle safety conditions, consumers paying too high a price for defective airbags, and the owner’s own cost at the time of recall.

The other six automakers have previously agreed to reach similar settlement agreements with more than $1.2 billion, including Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru and BMW.

It is reported that at least 23 people have died in the world, and 290 people are injured in the rupture of the Takata airbag supercharger. This airbag booster explodes during inflation and blows up metal fragments in the car. This problem has triggered the automotive industry. The largest security recall in history, 19 major automakers recalled about 100 million problem cars.

So far, 21 deaths occurred on Honda cars, and 2 others died in Ford accidents.
