Synopsys helps Arm's latest advanced mobile IP early adopters to successfully streamline

Synopsys announced that the early adopters of Arm's latest advanced mobile platforms, including the Arm Cortex-A76, Cortex-A55 and Arm Mali-G76 processors, adopted the Synopsys Continuum Platform, which includes Fusion technology. The DesignWare Interface IP successfully implements SoC streaming. In addition, the Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 QuickStart Implementation Kits (QIKs) are available now to speed time-to-market and optimize performance, power and area (PPA).

Deirdre Hanford, Global General Manager of Synopsys' Design Division, said: 'Arm's early and deep collaboration with Synopsys is Arm's newest advanced mobile platform (including the Arm Cortex-A76, Cortex-A55 and Arm Mali-G76 processors). The initial adopters achieved a successful streaming. The Synopsys design platform with Fusion technology, Verification Continuum Platform and DesignWare interface IP work together to provide optimized performance, power consumption and area, and accelerate the time to market based on Arm. .

The Synopsys design platform with Fusion technology enables optimized design implementation of the new mobile core:

• Design implementation of 7nm and below process nodes using Design Compiler® Graphical and IC CompilerTM II layout and routing systems. • Higher performance with automatic density control and timing-driven layout. • Full-process clock and data path (CCD) Synchronous optimization results in lower power consumption. • Signoff convergence uses PrimeTime® PBA-based, ECO with exhaustive power recovery and exhaustive PBA and StarRCTM multi-angle simultaneous extraction. • RedHawkTM Analysis Fusion signoff in IC Compiler II Driven process, providing early acceleration of power integrity and reliability design optimization.

QIK for Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 (including design implementation scripts and reference guides) Leverage new Fusion technology to provide better PPA and faster turnaround time. QIK uses Arm optimized for Arm mobile processor with 7nm process technology Artisan® POPTM technology. To help designers achieve their design goals quickly and confidently, Synopsys offers a 'hardening Arm' design service based on extensive experience; available services include from QuickStart Designed to achieve a turnkey processor core 'hardening'.

Early adopters of Arm's new advanced mobile platform used Synopsys' Verification Continuum solution in its tape-out projects, including:

• Synopsys' prototyping solutions, including the Virtualizer Development Kit (VDK) family for Arm processors, the Arm Quick Model for Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55, and HAPS FPGA-based prototyping. Suitable for Arm Cortex-A processors, Synopsys VCS emulation with fine-grained parallel technology and Verification IP for Arm AMBA interconnects. • Synopsys ZeBu® hardware emulation.

Early adopters of Arm's new advanced mobile platform quickly developed mobile SoCs using Synopsys' high-quality DesignWare interface IP. DesignWare IP for the mobile market includes support for USB, DDR, PCI Express®, MIPI and mobile storage interfaces And physical layer, market shipments have reached billions.

Armand Nayampally, Vice President and General Manager of Customer Business, said: 'Arm is working with Synopsys. Through early involvement in our new advanced mobile IP product development, we enable early adopters to apply design to accelerate the market to market while optimizing Power, performance and area solutions are successfully streamed.
