On July 23, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the national power industry from January to June.
The data shows that in the first half of 2018, the total electricity consumption of the country's society was 322.9 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. Among them, the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry and the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents increased by 14.7% and 13.2% respectively.
In terms of power generation hours, thermal power was 2,126 hours, up 116% year-on-year; wind power was 1,143 hours, an increase of 159%.
In the first half of this year, the newly installed power generation data shows that thermal power and wind power are at a relatively high level. Thermal power increased by 15.15 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 94%, and wind power increased by 7.53 million kilowatts, an increase of 152%.
