Mi home air conditioning is very general | but Gree need to be wary of Xiaomi IoT ecological chain

Xiaomi is in the field of air conditioning. The layout has been at least four or five years.

Mijia released a new Internet air-conditioning product. Nail Technology first associates the gambling agreement between Lei Jun and Dong Mingzhu. Because, shortly after the two people disclosed 1 billion yuan to gamble, Dong Mingzhu entered the mobile phone field that Xiaomi is good at. From the current point of view, Gree mobile phone almost became a 'joke', there is no sense of existence in the market, and it can not form a substantial threat to Xiaomi. So, does Xiaomi Mijia air conditioner have an effective impact on Dong Mingzhu's Gree?

Nail Technology noticed that, at least so far, Mi's air conditioner is still very weak, and it can't cause any impact on Gree air conditioner at all.

After the launch of the first air conditioner of Xiaomi and Midea in 2015, it did not cause vibration in the home appliance industry, and soon disappeared. The cooperation between Xiaomi and Midea has not produced more concrete results since August 2017. It can be seen that although Xiaomi has the intention to expand the air-conditioning business, the reality is that the market does not buy it. So, is there any possibility that the newly launched Mijia Internet Air Conditioner will break?

From the product point of view, this Mijia Internet air conditioner is not amazing. In nail technology, its only technical highlight is '0.1 degree precision temperature control'. But as far as the technology itself is concerned, because Changhong air conditioner has already been launched, it is not a new technology. The 'black technology' of Mijia Internet Air Conditioning not only needs support from others, but also does not fill the gap in the market.

In terms of energy efficiency, Mijia Internet air conditioner is a three-level, does not save electricity, energy efficiency is only the average level of the market.

The only place where Nail Technology feels shocked is the price. Of course, this also meets the characteristics of Xiaomi. The newly released 1.5-inverter air conditioner, the price of the Mi family is only 1999 yuan, plus the installation fee of 200 yuan, but also 2199 yuan. To know, Gree, Midea, Haier and other brands of 1.5 inverter air conditioners are priced at around 3,000 yuan.

The low-cost lethality is visible, but there are some 'killing' that are not necessarily conspicuous, which deserves the attention of Gree. On the propaganda page of Mijia Air Conditioning, Nail Technology found that it highlights two usage scenarios: It is the temperature adjustment on the Mijia App, and the second is to control the air conditioner through the small love speaker. In the view of Nail Technology, this is the most advantageous weapon for the Mijia air conditioner to penetrate the air conditioner market.

In the capacity building of air-conditioning products themselves, Mijia can't do better than Gree. But the great thing about Xiaomi is that it is built with a mobile phone as the core, including TV, speakers, bracelets, empty nets, desk lamps, sockets, etc. The products get the IoT platform. Especially the appearance of the small love speakers, so that the voice interaction has more potential to experience the landing, the emergence of air conditioning is to make up for the most important part of the millet's electricity chain.

This means that if the product itself is to compete, Mijia Air Conditioning cannot beat Gree, but if it is to compete with the ecosystem, Mijia Air Conditioning has the competitive advantage that Gree does not have.

In this sense, Mijia Air Conditioning only needs to find a reliable foundry (such as Changhong), and can provide some technical support to keep the product above the passing line, and more importantly, through the integration of Xiaomi IoT Ecology.
