China's auto sales in the first half of 2018 | Chinese brands account for half of the country


From January to June, passenger cars sold a total of 11.775 million units, an increase of 4.64% year-on-year, an increase of 3.03 percentage points over the same period of the previous year. Among them: the sales of basic passenger cars (sedans) were 5.694 million units, an increase of 5.46% year-on-year; Multi-purpose passenger vehicles (SUVs) sold 496.47 million units, up 9.68% year-on-year; multi-purpose passenger vehicles (MPV) sold 881,900 units, down 12.72% year-on-year; cross-type passenger vehicles sold 234,700 units, down 25.88% year-on-year .

From January to June, China's brand passenger cars sold a total of 5,109,100 units, an increase of 3.43% year-on-year, accounting for 43.39% of the total sales of passenger vehicles. The market share decreased by 0.51 percentage points over the same period of the previous year. German, Japanese, American , Korean and French passenger cars sold 2,472,800, 2,091,200, 1,256,600, 552,200 and 196,800, respectively, accounting for 21% of total passenger car sales, 17.76%, 10.69%, 4.69 % and 1.67%. Compared with the same period of last year, the market share of the US brand has declined, the legal system has remained flat, other brands have increased slightly, and the Korean growth rate is in the forefront.
