Clariant International, a Swiss-based Mutton-based specialty chemicals giant, is pushing China from the edge of its global development strategy to its core position.
Christian Kohlpaintner, an executive committee member who has been based in Shanghai since 2016, said: 'Through this 'edge to core' strategy, we believe that our sales in China will double by 2021. The Chinese market is currently in the world. The largest chemical market is also the fastest growing market.
On the eve of Chinaplas, Kohlpaintner told reporters in an interview with Shanghai that Clariant's economic growth in China is accelerating.
Last year, Clariant held a groundbreaking ceremony at an additive factory in Zhenjiang and signed a joint venture agreement with Beijing Tianzhu Auxiliary Co., Ltd. to establish a light and processing stabilizer plant in Chenzhou, Hebei.
It is expected that the Zhenjiang and Zhangzhou factories will be put into operation next year.
