The State Intellectual Property Office announced the patent ranking in the first half of the year: Huawei first

On July 10, at the regular press conference of the third quarter of 2018 of the State Intellectual Property Office, Hu Wenhui, director of the Office of the State Intellectual Property Office, issued the national intellectual property data for the first half of 2018 on behalf of the State Intellectual Property Office.

In the first half of 2018, the top 10 domestic invention patents (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) enterprises were: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (1775), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (1569), Guangdong Opal Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. (1520), State Grid Corporation (1242), ZTE Corporation (1028), BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. (904), Zhuhai Gree Electric Co., Ltd. (787), Lenovo ( Beijing) Co., Ltd. (697 pieces), Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (664 pieces), China National Petroleum Corporation (557 pieces).

According to Hu Wenhui, in the first half of 2018, China's main intellectual property rights index achieved rapid growth and showed a good momentum of development. The number of invention patent applications in China was 751,000. The number of invention patents was 217,000, of which 171,000 were domestic invention patents. In the domestic invention patent authorization, 159,000 service inventions, accounting for 93.2%; non-service inventions, 12,000, accounting for 6.8%.
