WindDaily was informed that German wind power machine manufacturer Nordex has recently seized 595MW wind power orders and will provide 191 AW125 wind turbines for the Brazilian developer Enel's LagoadosVentos wind farm. This is the largest single onshore wind power order in its history. The acquisition of the entire machine company Acciona, international mergers and acquisitions began to show results.
The winning unit's output is between 3-3.15 MW and will be paired with Nordex's 120-meter concrete tower. The tower will be produced in Piau, Brazil, and Nordex has opened a factory here in April this year.
The signing of this order also makes Nordex's wind power installed capacity in Brazil reach 1.9GW.
Founded in 1985 in Wichi, Denmark, Nordex is now one of the world's first complete operators in the field of wind power. Acciona is a Spanish wind turbine manufacturer. Before the merger, it was installed in more than 100 wind farms in 18 countries. America and emerging markets have advantages. In 2015, Nordex announced the acquisition of Acciona's wind energy business of 785 million euros and the completion of the acquisition in 2016.
Now taking big orders, Nordex's dream of using Acciona to open up America and emerging markets comes true.
