Recently, a qualitative experiment was carried out as a new benefit growth point of Luzhou Refining and Chemicals. The experimental results show that the company's batch process polypropylene and butene can be polymerized, so as to explore the optimal ratio of propylene and butene for the next step. At present, the polypropylene industry is facing overcapacity and profit reduction. In particular, the company uses batch process to produce polypropylene, which is small in scale, low in added value, and in urgent need of technological upgrading. Copolymer products are selling well as high value-added polypropylene products. They decided to develop propylene butene copolymer (referred to as propylene copolymer) products. The project was set up by the technical quality department to quickly start and push the project forward.
Since the beginning of this year, they first implemented raw materials, and under the premise of ensuring safety, developed and improved the butene handling solutions and measures, smoothly connected and unloaded butene and filled liquefied gas cylinders. At the same time, compiled the overall plan for the polypropylene butane copolymerization test. Inviting experts in the industry to come to the company for technical exchanges, and put forward practical suggestions and precautions.
In the qualitative experimental stage, they controlled the details, investigated the causes of the problems, formulated measures, and made multiple trials, and adjusted the process parameters and the amount of three doses. The qualitative test results showed that the raw materials of Luzhou Refinery and The three doses used can meet the requirements of polypropylene and the requirements of propylene copolymerization, thus providing technical support for the next stage of design and transformation.
