Marvell Board of Directors Appoints Three New Directors
Marvell also announced that Dr. Syed Ali, Brad Buss and Dr. Edward Frank have been appointed to the Marvell Board of Directors and will take effect immediately upon completion of the merger.
Syed Ali is the co-founder of Cavium and has served as its President, CEO and Chairman of the Board since its inception in 2000. He has received electrical engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science from the University of Michigan.
Brad Buss has served as a director of Cavium since July 2016. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of SolarCity from 2014 to 2016 and as Chief Financial Officer of Cypress Semiconductor from 2005 to 2014. He is currently a Tes Board member of Tesla Motors and Advance Auto Parts. Mr. Buss graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from McMaster University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Windsor.
Dr. Edward Frank has served as a director of Cavium since July 2016. He is also the co-founder of startup Cloud Parity and served as its CEO until September 2016. Previously, he served as Apple during 2009-2013. Prior to joining Apple, he worked at Broadcom Corporation from 1999 to 2009 as Vice President of Corporate R&D. Dr. Frank is also a board member of Analog Devices and Quantenna. He holds a BSEE and MSEE from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Frank is a wireless networking product. Contribution to development and commercialization, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2018.
