Samsung and ARM join forces: 7nm A76 architecture chip is about to come out, or will change the market structure

Although Samsung has established a dominant position in the field of OELD panels, mobile phone chips, memory flash memory and other electronic products, but PC chip, Intel and AMD's status has always been unstoppable, for technical reasons, even the mobile terminal opened Apple Samsung can't shake.

Recently, Samsung OEM announced that it will cooperate with ARM to launch a chip based on ARM A76 architecture using 7nm process technology. ARM's latest processor architecture Cortex-A76 was exposed in June this year, and Qualcomm 1000, which was exposed by Qualcomm some time ago. It is also based on this architecture, the maximum frequency can reach 3.0GHz, compared with the previous A75 with 35% performance improvement and 40% energy efficiency improvement.

At present, ARM's plan is to enter the notebook market, which is a great opportunity for Samsung.

It is reported that Samsung's 7nm production line will be launched in the second half of this year, and the enhanced version of EUV (Ultra-UV lithography) technology will be put into production in the first half of next year. In this respect, Samsung seems to be a little later than TSMC. Wei Zhejia, CEO of this front-end power company, said that the 7nm process using EUV will be trial production in the third quarter of this year. The order for the Apple A12 processor is still given to TSMC.

After working with Samsung, what strength will ARM's A76 architecture processor show in the mobile phone and computer markets? Let us wait and see!
