This year is the third year of the official implementation of the “Management Measures for Defective Consumer Goods Recall”. According to the main person in charge of the Law Enforcement Supervision Department of the General Administration of Market Supervision, with the relevant functions of the quality supervision and market supervision departments, the institutional and technical capabilities continue to improve, and defective consumer goods. The structure of the national linkage work has been initially formed. In the first half of 2018, a total of 18 provincial quality supervision and market supervision departments carried out consumer product recall supervision, and organized related enterprises to implement 310 consumer product recall activities, involving 35.55 million products. It accounted for 98% of the total number of recalls. The number of recalled provinces was 14.75 million in Anhui Province, 7.38 million in Hubei Province, 5.21 million in Guangdong Province, 2.87 million in Sichuan Province, and 1.98 million in Jiangsu Province.
It is reported that the General Administration of Market Supervision will further enhance the informationization and automation level of the recall supervision work, and further optimize and improve the defective product recall information management system by using big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence technology to provide the public with more convenient and rich recall information notification.
