Stuttgart, Germany – A small but compelling polyurethane foam product is about to disappear. The Swiss-based Children's Safety Products Division plans to stop producing children's car seats at the end of July.
The company, which produces children's car seats and strollers, said the competition is fierce in this area. The company is trying to reduce costs, improve market positioning, and develop new products, but it is still not enough to make up for negative business development.
The suspension of the seat will affect a total of 190 people; 117 of them will be in Marktleugast, Germany.
Ralf Kindermann, General Manager, Children's Safety Products Division, Ruikewei: 'This is a tough decision, but it is inevitable due to continued losses.'
He also said: 'We accept discussions with investors who may be interested in this part of the business.'
