As the first domestic enterprise to start mass production of AMOLED mobile phone display screens, Hehui Optoelectronics officially started construction of the 6th generation AMOLED display project on December 9, 2016. The total investment of the project is 27.278 billion yuan, and the production capacity is 30,000 pieces per month. Glass substrate (1500mm × 1850mm), the product is 1 to 15 inches of display and module (partial flexibility), taking into account the flexible and hard board production technology.
AMOLED display features self-illumination, high color saturation, thinner materials, and can be widely used in smartphones, TVs, computers, wearable devices, and VR fields. According to the plan, the project will begin trial production in January 2019. It will reach the production level in 2021. After the project is put into production, it can meet the screen demand of nearly 100 million small and medium-sized display terminals every year. The annual sales will reach more than 10 billion yuan, which will help Shanghai to arrange advanced production capacity in the flat panel display industry in advance.
It is reported that the main building area of the second phase of the project is about 390,000 square meters, of which the clean plant area is about 320,000 square meters, which is the largest clean factory in Shanghai's history. Under the hard work of an average of 2,400 workers per day Shanghai Construction Engineering adopted a number of new construction techniques. It took 12 months to complete the super-large single-unit anti-vibration plant with a length of 400 meters, a width of 256 meters and a height of 40 meters. The main plant was successfully cleaned in 19 months. On the same day, Hehui Optoelectronics also held a new AMOLED product launch conference, officially announcing the first phase of the production line flexible product (fixed surface) OLED mass production shipment. The product is a 5.5-inch full HD fixed-surface flexible screen product, the color is LCD The color expression is 1.5 times; the display has better performance in ball strength, falling, vibration and other mechanical strength tests, and has reached the international advanced level.
From the current technological developments, flexible panels can be divided into three levels: ' bendable', 'foldable' and 'can be curled'. Chen Zhihong, deputy general manager of Shanghai Hehui Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., is expected to be available in 2019.
